Bellevue Park Revitalization The park is a wonderful asset to CUF residents and in return, we can give a little back to help it flourish. A group of interested community members have begun the process of working with the Cincinnati Park Board to discuss short and long term improvements at the park. Steve Schuckman and Jim Burkhardt from the Park Board hosted a community walk around the park on September 9th to open up communication about what we’d like to see happen there in the next 5 years or so. On May 6th a group of over 50 volunteers from the community and University Christian Church worked together to clean up Bellevue Park. We painted benches and picnic tables, mulched, cleaned and planted a new landscaped area. It was a wonderful time for all and the park looks great! Thanks to all volunteers and UCC for their help with planning and food! We’re still keeping our fingers crossed about plans for the repaving and looping of the walking trail around the park. This has been submitted as a Community Priority Request item to the city and is awaiting approval.
A community advisory board will be formed to continue this initiative. Contact Cathy Rafales at Bellevue@CliftonHeights.org if you’re interested in being a part of this exciting project!
